Audit Prequalification Criteria

You cannot apply for an Envirostep audit if any of the following apply:

a) You have not answered all questions in your questionnaire

• Check that all question categories show '100% complete' (unanswered questions in each category have orange text)

b) You are facing formal regulatory action

• You cannot get an Envirostep certificate if you are subject to formal regulatory action (see Compliance category, question 7.09)

c) You have answered "no" or "don"t know" to any of the following critical questions:

Planning category

• Question 6.02: Have you identified the negative environmental impacts associated with your business?
• Question 6.03: Have you identified possible emergency scenarios that could affect your business or the environment?
• Question 6.05: Do you review reported accidents, incidents & complaints?

Compliance category

• Question 7.07: Do you routinely review environmental performance requirements (& your compliance with them)?
• Question 7.08: Are you managing all known non-compliance with environmental regulatory requirements?

Information category

• Question 9.01: Is management well informed about your environmental compliance & performance status?

Please review your answers and amend those that do not meet the above pre-qualification requirements.
