Using the Envirostep Assessment Questionnaire

The Envirostep questionnaire is divided into ten categories of environmental performance (energy, water, waste, transport, site, planning, compliance, operations, information and output). Most questions require a simple yes or no response, although some ask you to rate your performance compared to the previous year. You can complete as few or as many questions as you like, but remember that each answer contributes to your overall score, so the more you answer, the greater your possible score. Your responses are automatically saved, so you can stop and return to the questionnaire at any time.

You will get the greatest benefit from Envirostep if you answer the questions honestly; If you are unsure, answer Don't know and come back later. As with any questionnaire, the results will only be as good as the responses that you give.

We recommend that you revisit the questionnaire quarterly or annually, so you can see how your performance changes over time.
